For over 25 years, Reetu Jain has performed a variety of dance styles at local, national and international levels. As Director of her fusion dance company SaMudra, Reetu incorporates an array of styles into her choreographies and classes, including Indian classical (Bharat Natyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak), Bollywood, Indian folk (Garba/Raas, Bhangra, Rajasthani, South Indian), Belly Dancing, Gypsy, Flamenco and fusion dance methods. In addition to regular solo performances, Reetu performs as a member of the two local area dance troupes Urban Gypsy and Music Masala. Currently, she instructs group and private Indian folk and Eastern fusion classes at the Spanish Institute of Dance. Apart from being a dancer, Reetu maintains a position as a full-time Certified Public Accountant and regularly travels to South Asia to gain dance inspiration from her Indian gypsy ancestry.
