Velocity Dance Project: A Must Attend Workshop |
 |
|
Here is your chance to work with some television's best
hip-hop choreographers! The Velocity Dance Project is a
two-day weekend workshop that is offering master classes
by featured choreographers, Tabitha and Napoleon D'umo.
The EMMY NOMINATED duo's talents and works have been
featured on FOX's hit TV show "So You Think You can
Dance", MTV's "America's Best Dance Crew", and TLC's "Rock
the Reception". You do not want to miss out on this
opportunity!
In addition, Houston's very own Nick Drago will be a guest
instructor at the workshop. Nick was a former contestant
on BRAVO's show, Step it Up and Dance. Nick has also
worked with stars such as Rhianna and Brittany Murphy.
Registration begins now so hurry and sign up before
classes fill up!

Inside Dance Houston |
 |
|
Dance Houston is excited about a new adventure as we
expand our office space by moving to a new location. This
highly anticipated expansion will introduce new programs
and new faces in our community. We are so grateful to all
of you who have helped us get to where we are today, and
we look forward to continuing the work we do in new and
exciting ways.
For Dance Houston our wish list has come early this year!
With the expansion of our office, we are in much need of
volunteers, new furniture and equipment. Please let us
know if you have any spare computers, printers, desks, or
office chairs that you would like to donate to us. If
you'd like to help us with the renovations, please write
us back or sign up for our
Vol unteer Program.

FridayJuly 31st was the finale showcase for the first
session of our summer camp, "Shooting Stars". The young
dancers began their dance camp adventure on July 20th and
were able to experience movement through various dance
genres such as: jazz, ballet, bollywood, hip-hop, and
more. Dancing rigorously for two weeks, it was gratifying
to see the final outcome of all their hard work.
