Dance of Asian America presents a unique and high caliber collaboration of outstanding international, national, and local artists. New and award winning dance choreography will be performed by guest artists Xing Sang and Song Jie, Gold and Silver Medalists of China's National Dance Competition. The evening will also feature outstanding guest artists from Dance China New York and Houston's very own Dance of Asian America and Mitsi Dancing School. Come delight your senses in an exciting Tour of China at Miller Outdoor Theatre... hike the majestic Himalayas, gallop the plains of Mongolia, marvel at the enchanting ladies of the Dia's Province – all while learning about the wonders of China. This evening in the park will be fun for the whole family.

Psophonia Dance Company kicks off its season this week with Psophonia Unplugged, a collection of favorites from the company's repertoire. The concert runs October 5, 6 and 7 at the Talento Bilingüe de Houston Cultural Arts Center. City Council Member Adrian Garcia will host a “Power Hour” Networking Mixer on the evening of October 5th, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., to coincide with the premiere performance. He will deliver a proclamation from the Mayor honoring Psophonia Dance Company’s achievements.

The Planet Funk Troupe just completed a seven-city tour of extraordinary performances in San Diego, Las Angelas and Orlando. The Orlando “Schneider Electric Show” was their last stop with well over 5,000 in attendance. Planet Funk entertained the audience with a 3-part show including a Cirque Act, Light Show and Legends Show. The Planet Funk Academy performed on a large concert stage of 45’ x 90’ with a cast of 11 of their top dancers which included Shawn Welling, Liz Hewett, Amber Thornton, Oliver Osuna, Cassye Horne, Jordan Kolar, Kirk Beeder, Jerome Hill, Elissa Wilke, Shaina Perry and Cecori Davis. This show was just another example of the intense, high energy, electrifying energy of Planet Funk Academy.
