What do you get when you gather 225 of Houston's best dancers together in the same theater with 1500 enthusiastic dance lovers? Dance Houston, of course! We are all still reeling with excitement from Dance Houston's best performance ever! Dance Houston 2006 presented 17 Houston dance companies performing a diverse range of dance styles from hip hop and ballroom to contemporary and cultural dance. The sold-out houses were filled with the most enthusiastic audiences we've ever seen (or heard!) in Houston. Thanks to all those who participated as dancers and audience members!

Marvelous Motion wins Dance Houston's 2006 Audience Pick Award!!! That's right, the freshest hip hop company in town danced away with the most audience votes for their dynamic routine, "The Come Up". The dancers moved seamlessly between hard hip hop and soft R&B, making Marvelous Motion's debut at Dance Houston a huge success!

Fly Dance Company made a huge splash with the littlest dancers at Dance Houston 2006. FlyKids, managed by Kathy Wood and coached by schoolteacher Rhonda Valencia, is a brand new, charismatic group of 5th - 7th graders that delights audiences with high energy, fantastic moves, and ubber precious faces.
