Dance Houston Fact Sheet

Who: Dance Houston is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2003. Our staff includes full time employees, teaching and performing artists, interns, and volunteers.  We have an active board of directors who oversee the organization and ensure that we maintain good corporate governance.

 

What: The mission of Dance Houston is to increase dance appreciation in Houston. We fulflil this mission by facilitating and encouraging collaboration amongst companies and choreographers. We also provide educational and performance opportunities to dancers of many styles.

 

Where: Dance Houston brings the world of dance to you by providing dance camps, performances and other opportunities throughout the greater Houston area.

How: Dance Houston serves artists and children in need. We put on many programs throughout the year that consist of concert presentation, dance education and artist representation. By providing these programs, we are helping Houston become more educated in the field of dance along with helping the lives of children and local dancer’s careers.
